From Grenada to Denver

Enon Straker’s culinary journey began over 25 years ago on the island of Grenada. The southern Caribbean island is renowned for its rich food culture and traditions. In 2019, Enon moved to Denver with dreams of advancing his culinary career, taking up a position with Hilton Hotels. His expertise and passion for cooking laid the foundation for TSK, where each dish is a testament to his dedication and skill.

Renel Straker’s move to Colorado in 2020 was driven by a deep commitment to her family. Leaving behind her career, she joined Enon to support his aspirations and keep their family united. Renel’s experiences as a mother and her understanding of the critical role nutrition plays in mental health inspired many of TSK’s community-focused initiatives including The Nourishmental Project.

Culinary Philosophy

At TSK, our cuisine is a celebration of diverse cultural influences. We honor traditional recipes and cooking methods from around the world, infusing each dish with authenticity and historical significance. Our menu is a symphony of flavors, aromas, and textures, designed to take diners on a global culinary adventure. From the familiar to the exotic, every bite is crafted to ignite the senses and expand culinary horizons.

The Nourishmental Project

Giving back to the community is at the heart of The Straker's Kitchen. Our "Nourishmental" project aims to address mental health disparities among black birthing individuals in Colorado. This initiative provides quick, healthy, and nutritious meals to support women during the prenatal period, from pregnancy up to a year after giving birth. The scholarship meals, available for six weeks per family, are freshly prepared and flash-frozen for maximum convenience and nutritional value.

Renel’s personal experiences with postpartum challenges highlighted the need for accessible nutritious meals to support mental well-being. The Nourishmental project connects modern diasporic food traditions with our Grenadian heritage, offering a vital support system for new mothers.

Future Plans

The Straker's Kitchen is constantly evolving. We recently launched our food truck, bringing our unique flavors to more people. Additionally, we are transitioning the Nourishmental project into a nonprofit organization, allowing us to focus more on supporting mothers in need while continuing our exceptional catering services. We are also expanding the eligibility criteria to benefit women from all backgrounds, ensuring broader access to nutritious meals that support mental and emotional well-being. We're just getting started.

Experience the passion, creativity, and unwavering commitment to excellence that define The Straker's Kitchen. Let us take you on a culinary journey that transcends borders and celebrates the universal language of food.
