Supporting Families with Nutritious Meals During Prenatal and Postpartum Periods
NourishMental is a non-profit organization founded by Grenadian entrepreneur and passionate chef, Renel and Enon Straker. Based in Colorado, NourishMental aims to provide families with nutritious, home-cooked meals during the critical prenatal and postpartum periods. The "NourishMental'' project is designed to address the significant mental health disparities experienced by birthing individuals in Colorado by focusing on a crucial, often overlooked aspect of postpartum continuity and nutrition.
This initiative aims to provide healthy, nutritious meals to support the mental and emotional well-being of birthing individuals during the perinatal period and up to 365 days postpartum, promoting a holistic approach to mental health care.
Our Mission
At NourishMental, we believe that proper nutrition is essential for the well-being of both mother and child. We understand that the prenatal and postpartum stages can be overwhelming, leaving little time for meal preparation. That's why we strive to alleviate the stress of meal planning and cooking, allowing families to focus on their physical and mental health during this transformative time. Together, we can create a world where every family has access to nutritious meals and the support they need during this incredible chapter of their lives.
